1. Who we are

This website, www.yslstar.com.my, is operated by YSL WEALTH MANAGEMENT (registration no. 202103140845), trading as YSL Wealth Management (“TeamYSL”, “YSL”, “we”, “us”), of Level 12, Menara Prudential, Jaya 99, Jalan Tun Sri Lanang, 75100 Melaka. We are the “data user” for the personal data described in this policy under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia (“PDPA”).

2. What personal data we collect

We collect personal data only when you give it to us through the forms on this website, or when you contact us directly.

  • Get In Touch form: your name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number, the subject, your message, your preferred contact method and, where you choose to tell us, your situation or what you need help with.
  • Wealth Planner application: your name, email, phone, current occupation or industry, education level, years of working experience, why you are interested, your resume / CV and any portfolio you upload.
  • Internship application: your name, email, phone, university or college, programme, year of study, preferred internship dates, what you could bring to TeamYSL, your resume and any portfolio.
  • Share Your Idea form: your name, email, phone, your idea and any supporting document you upload.
  • Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider may record your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit in server logs, for security and to keep the site running.

Please do not send us sensitive personal data (such as health information, religious beliefs or financial account numbers) through the website forms. If we need it for your planning, we will ask for it separately and explain why.

3. Why we use your personal data

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation with a suitable Wealth Planner.
  • To assess your application for a Wealth Planner role, an internship, or your idea, and to contact you about it.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam and misuse.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We will only use your data for these purposes, or for a purpose directly related to them, unless you agree otherwise. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Who we share it with

  • Our own Wealth Planners and staff, so that the right person can respond to you.
  • Service providers who help us run the website and email, such as our web hosting provider (Exabytes Network (M) Sdn Bhd) and our email provider (Google Gmail). They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
  • Regulators, courts or other authorities, where the law requires it.
  • If you are referred to an insurer or product provider (for example Prudential), that company will give you its own privacy notice when it collects your data.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and uses Cloudflare Turnstile on forms to stop spam; those services may receive your IP address when your browser loads them. Our Gallery page shows our public Instagram posts, so your browser may also connect to Instagram (Meta), which may receive your IP address and use its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

6. Sending data outside Malaysia

Some of the services above (for example Google, Cloudflare and Meta) process data on servers outside Malaysia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data is protected as the PDPA requires.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it, unless we are required to retain it for longer.

8. Keeping it safe

The website uses HTTPS encryption, form submissions are stored in a protected administration area that only authorised staff can open, and we take reasonable practical steps to protect your data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online system is completely secure, so please take care with what you send.

9. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data of yours we hold and give you a copy;
  • correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
  • stop using your data for a purpose, or withdraw your consent (this may mean we can no longer deal with your enquiry or application).

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm who you are, and we will reply within the time the law requires.

10. Children

This website is for adults. Please do not submit a form if you are under 18 unless a parent or guardian does so for you.

11. Links to other websites

Our website links to other sites (for example Instagram, Facebook and insurer portals). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
